Located in Vlissingen, Pollux and Castor are key battery storage projects that have been developed. Operational since December 2023, Pollux is the Netherlands’ largest battery storage system, helping to stabilize the electricity grid and support Essent’s renewable energy portfolio. Together, these projects play a vital role in balancing energy supply and demand, strengthening the Dutch power market.

Return Mufasa

Our large-scale energy storage solution.

After acquiring Lion Storage in 2023, Return strengthened its position as a leader in large-scale energy storage solutions. Located in Vlissingen’s North Sea Port, Project Mufasa is now fully funded and set to become one of Europe’s largest battery storage systems. By optimizing renewable energy through advanced trading, it will play a crucial role in stabilizing the Dutch power grid and accelerating the energy transition.
